Wolfenstein 3D 1.0 iPhone iPod Touch

Wolfenstein 3D 1.0 iPhone iPod Touch | 9,86 MB
You're William J. Blazkowicz, the Allies bad boy of espionage and a terminal action seeker. Your mission was to infiltrate the Nazi fortress Castle Hollehammer and find the plans for Operation Eisenfaust, the Nazi's blueprint for building the perfect army. Rumors are that deep within the castle the diabolical Dr. Schabbs has perfected a technique for building a fierce army from the bodies of the dead. It's so far removed from reality that it would seem silly if it wasn't so sick. But what if it were true? As an escaped prisoner in a Nazi war prison, you will move smoothly through a 3D world full of amazing detail and animation. Unlike other 3D games, you'll run through a sensational and realistic 3-D environment, with intelligent moving guards and opponents.

Cool Features
Intense and mood-setting Ad Lib music throughout the entire game.
Incredible digitized effects for Sound Blaster and Disney Sound Source.
Fastest 3D VGA animated full-screen wide game available for IBM PC!

Inspector Gadget 1.0.0 iPhone iPod Touch

Inspector Gadget 1.0.0 iPhone iPod Touch | 7,49 MB
Having recently turned 25-years old, the clumsy, high-tech hero Inspector Gadget has just brought his own particular brand of bionic police work to the iPhone, courtesy of license holder Namco Bandai. "Inspector Gadget is a personal favourite for me, and a character who has gained a loyal global following, making him one of the most lovable icons of the cartoon crime-solving world," says Namco Bandai's pres, Barry O'Neill. "Inspector Gadget and the iPhone is a perfect partnership as one of the world's most famous gadget users meets one of the world's most famous gadgets." And it wouldn't be an adventure for the gizmo-laden copper without his niece Penny or the faithful mega-brainy dog, Brain, as they attempt to thwart the gruff-voice machinations of the evil Dr Claw.

The Inspector comes to us in a platform game using an unusual touchscreen controller. Six buttons are placed around the edges of the landscape-orientated screen to allow for quick and easy movements in all directions - a system that, from a distance, looks a bit easier to negotiate than the clumsy D-pads we have been seeing lately.

Sentinel 1.1 iPhone iPod Touch

Sentinel 1.1 iPhone iPod Touch | 8,47 MB
Sentinel - Tower defense (TD) games have proven to be a genre that can be done extremely well on the iPhone. The cream of the crop in this genre currently includes titles such as Fieldrunners, 7 Cities, The Creeps, and they all have their own quirks that make them unique. That hasn’t deterred Origin8 from delivering its spin on the space with the release of their new title.

There are two primary modes in Sentinel named Assault and Endurance (has to be unlocked) to get through. Assault (think campaign mode) provides up to four difficulty settings that be chosen over the course of the game’s two maps.
Your job in Sentinel is to place weapons and defenses on a map to destroy waves of alien monsters that have different strengths and weaknesses. Upon seeing the enemy types, it’s your job to layout a variety of weapons and defenses to counter what the enemy is bringing. For example, flying alien critters are best handled by “Laser” or “Beam” tower defenses while land monsters are best handled by “Bomb” and “Slow” tower defenses. Killing enemies gives you cash to upgrade towers or buy new ones altogether. With each passing wave, you can earn points that accumulate over time. When your game is over, you can upload your score to online leaderboards to see how you compare with folks all over the country.
Sentinel adds a few sprinkles to the TD formula that is worth nothing. Most TD games lay out a map without obstructions allowing enemies to freely navigate through the path to attack your base. Sentinel adds in obstructions and barriers that enemies have to destroy throughout the map before they can continue unimpeded to your base. This adds an additional layer of strategy as you’ll have to make choices about concentrating your towers around those barriers or spread towers all over the map. Cool repair droids (which cost money) can be bought to repair barriers that the enemies are chipping away at as well. Last point in this vein, Origin8 has integrated functionality to speed up Sentinel by pressing an onscreen toggle button. Good stuff all around here.

The Oregon Trail 1.1.2 iPhone iPod Touch

The Oregon Trail 1.1.2 iPhone iPod Touch | 49,5 MB
Journeying the 2000 miles of the Oregon Trail used to take a laborious six month hike through the steep mountains of the Continental Divide. Now, you just have to dig into the depths of your pockets and spend a good 2-3 hours running your fingers across a 9cm piece of glass.
It would take you longer to churn butter than run the iPhone's Oregon Trail, although it's just as rich. This stunningly vibrant remake rises to the top, combining humour and history in one trailblazing package. Just as the more than quarter of a million emigrants did starting in 1834, The Oregon Trail sets you off from St Louis, Missouri. You lead a family of five along the rough trail, maintaining your wagon and keeping food in good supply. The wellbeing of your family is balanced against the speed at which you travel. Travelling at a slow pace may keep your wagon in pristine condition, but it means eating more food because the trip takes longer, and risking a wintry arrival in Oregon. On the other hand, moving too fast tires out your family and wears down your wagon quickly.

2000 miles of trail is dotted with dozens of camps, river crossings, landmarks, and forts that mark your progress. These stops allow you to restock low supplies, talk with locals, and even take on simple quests such as delivering packages or competing in a wagon race.
Expanding on the educational appeal of the original Apple II release, dialogue with fellow trail-goers provides historical titbits and notable cameos that are as hilarious as they are informative.
Food stock can be replenished by purchasing goods at Matt's General Store in any fort, and you can trade with Native American villages along the route. You can also take part in hunting and gathering mini-games.
Touchscreen hunting makes shooting cuddly rabbits and nutty squirrels an easy tap. Bigger game like deer and buffalo, however, demand more effort. Fishing and a new berry foraging mini-game join the mix.
An assortment of other mini-games are tied to wagon repairs, gold mongering, river crossing, and telegraphing. Gold panning, in particular, earns recognition for tailoring to the handset's accelerometer. Tilting the device back and forth sifts out nuggets that you can collect with a tap of the screen.
While these mini-games won't have you stampeding to play The Oregon Trail, they do introduce an entertaining variety.
Improvements to the presentation and flow of play are also immediately apparent. The difficulty has been tweaked to ensure treatment along the journey, although random hazards remain as a reminder of the realities of trail life.
Vibrant vector graphics replace the pixels of old, bringing a fresh charm to this revamped release. Lengthy loading times are the price paid for this visual overhaul, unfortunately.
Having to wait a few seconds when moving between the trail and pit stops is slightly annoying, yet The Oregon Trail is so much fun to play that it's but a small hang up.
That such a dangerous trek could be transformed into such a cheeky adventure shows the rich craftsmanship of this modern mobile classic.

iDracula Undead Awakening 1.1 iPhone iPod Touch

iDracula Undead Awakening 1.1 iPhone iPod Touch | 14,7 MB
Two-stick arcade shooters have become very popular since the advent of Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved on Xbox LIVE Arcade. The pick up and play nature of such games happens to be very well suited to the iPhone gaming philosophy of accessible and immediate experiences. In iDracula you take control of a guy with a cool hat and a nifty pair of boots, with the sole aim being to shoot as many of the incoming monsters as possible before they spoil your fun. Instead of two sticks as you'd get in console shooters of this type, there are some circles on the touch screen that act like analogue sticks would, moving your character with the left, and aiming the selected weapon with the right. While this is certainly a viable interpretation of traditional two-stick action, a lack of tactile feedback leaves you disconnected and not fully in control. Another disadvantage of using the touch screen is that your thumbs take up a small portion of it, enough to block your view of some of the oncoming enemies that might take you by surprise, but not enough to ruin a good run.

There are two main game modes, survival and rush, both of which pit you against waves of enemies for you to deal with. The differences are in pacing and depth. Rush drops you straight into some heavy action with at least a dozen monsters attacking you at any time, and an always fully loaded mini-gun to greet them with. Survival makes the game more interesting by slowing things down and adding depth to the experience through the availability of new weapons, a variety of enemies and a perks system that lets you choose from four random upgrades at intervals during the game.
The iPhone is starting to hit its stride, with developers figuring out the visual capabilities of the device, and iDracula is a great example of this. Imagine a top down view on your typical Castlevania game, and that’s a pretty accurate representation of the Gothic aesthetic - the game looks brilliant on iPhone’s high resolution screen and the animation is surprisingly proficient.

G.I. Joyride 1.0 iPhone iPod Touch

G.I. Joyride 1.0 iPhone iPod Touch | 7,58 MB
G.I. Joyride, from Trapdoor, is a game that puts you in control of an armored troop carrier, with just one aim… to steam-roll your way through goose-stepping Nazi’s.
On booting up the game you are presented with suitably wartime-style swing music and, as with all war games of this era, the dirtied up dossier menu system. A quick tap of start and you’re off. The level starts with you landing on the beach, and you must immediately step on the gas by touching the right side of the screen. Stay stationary too long and you’ll be targeted and blown to smithereens, so it’s a good idea to get a move on. You’ll gain momentum pretty quickly, and from then on it’s a case of keeping your ATC level over jumps and bumps via tilt. Tilt your iPhone right to lower the front and left to raise it up, or wheelie.

That’s all there is to it really, just sit back and enjoy knocking over Nazi’s. If you get shot too many times or a bomber lands a strike on you, then it’s game over… but until that happens the level is endless. I’m guessing the engine pulls up random sections of pre built levels and stitches them together.
After your game is over you are given a rating with a comedy description of what happens when your men are caught. Once back in the main menu you can visit the stats menu to view your kills, medals earned and how much distance you covered. As well as stats you can view your records, such as Best Wheelie, biggest airtime and best flip combos.

Metal Gear Solid Touch 1.0.0 iPhone iPod Touch

Metal Gear Solid Touch 1.0.0 iPhone iPod Touch | 87,2 MB
The rumour looked pretty solid, but confirmation is always swell. The next Metal Gear game will indeed be on the iPhone, and it's called Metal Gear Solid Touch.
What's more, courtesy of Konami we now have some details on the game. It's an original title set in the MGS4 universe, and consists of 8 stages (with the promise of more to be made available later). It's obviously controlled via the touchpad (as opposed to the accelerometer), with a sniping screenshot looking a lot like the iPhone's zoom-in text editing setup.

Lets Golf 1.0.7 iPhone iPod Touch

Lets Golf 1.0.7 iPhone iPod Touch | 77,6 MB
We have come such a long way from Steve’s iPhone SDK announcement in late 2007. Even before the official SDK was released, developers were writing simple games. Simple games evolved in to pick up and play examples of gaming perfection like Flight Control and Scoops.Let’s Golf features several game play modes, briefly outlined in our first impressions review. The first of which is Instant Play, which is pretty cut and dry. Upon selecting your golfer, you’re thrown into a random selection of three holes–Complete them all, hopefully under par, and you’re done.

After breezing through the included tutorial and getting a handle for the controls, most players will probably want to skip the Instant Play mode and head straight on over to Tournament mode to tee off against several AI golfers for fame, fortune, and most importantly…unlockable clothing and accessories!
In your first tournament, you only have access to two golf courses in easy mode with 1-9 hole, 10-18 hole, 1-18 hole, or 9 hole shuffle options. As you win trophies, more courses are unlocked, as well as additional difficulty levels, items, and golfers. While Let’s Golf only features four available golfers, they can each be customized with clothing, headwear, and golf balls. These seem to be randomly rewarded, as I won a dress for Elena while playing as Vincent.
Character attributes are measured across four different statistics: power, accuracy, recovery, and putting. Equipping different unlocked items provides an opportunity to increase these stats. For instance, the “school girl suit” provides +1 to recovery, making it easier to accurately hit the ball in the rough. Another noteworthy bonus of unlocking these perks is: any benefits gained from equipped items are also present while playing in Instant Play, Free Hole and multiplayer modes. The final single player game mode is Free Hole, where you can play on any of the four courses and any hole set by yourself, on any difficulty
Let’s Golf would be an excellent game with just these play modes, but Gameloft takes it one step further and includes not one, but two ways to challenge another player to a round of golf. In Hot Seat both golfers play using one device, passing it back and forth, depending on whose turn it is. If you find another person who also owns Let’s Golf, you can challenge them to a local WiFi match where each player uses their own device to compete. In my testing, both multiplayer methods worked great. Playing over local WiFi has a small amount of lag, but nothing that would ever be noticeable unless you have both screens side by side.

Sway 1.1.0 iPhone iPod Touch

Sway 1.1.0 iPhone iPod Touch | 9,18 MB
New platforms always seem to have defining games, whether it's the original Xbox with Halo or the Wii with Wii Sports. While the iPhone's status as more than a gaming device means it doesn't really need this single must-own game (and the cheap prices mean triple-A quality isn't really necessary), Sway from Ready Fire Aim and Illusion Labs manages to nail the device's multi-touch display to create a game that seems like a perfect fit. If you're undecided over the iPhone as a gaming platform, look no further than Sway.

Sway is probably best described as a thinking man's platformer, except the running and jumping seen in the likes of Mario and Sonic have been replaced by swinging and grabbing. You play as one of a handful of loose-armed characters (more are unlocked for achieving certain goals on specific levels), who must swing from one side of a level to the other, collecting things and avoiding obstacles along the way. It's as if you're hanging onto a cliff face, Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible 2 style, although each of these cliff faces is floating in mid air.
It's the controls that make Sway so unique and in turn so much fun to play. Your two thumbs control your character's two hands (left thumb is your left hand, right thumb is your right hand - as you look), with gentle swaying motions from left to right on one side of the touch screen making your little guy sway from side to side. So you might start off by swinging while holding on with your left hand, moving the grip to the right hand, then perhaps letting go and flying through the air, grabbing hold as you jam your right thumb into the screen in order to mimic the lunging right hand of your character.
Early levels more or less see you swinging from platform to platform without much in the way of tricky obstacles, but soon enough you'll face moving platforms, spikes, perilous disappearing platforms and more. Generally the route from start to finish isn't all that hard, but in order to earn a gold, silver or bronze rating you need to collect a set number of items, and unlockable characters require the collection of three keys. Once you're used to the control scheme you could progress through the levels fairly quickly, but unlocking everything and earning high scores will take considerably more time.

Drop7 1.1 iPhone iPod Touch

Drop7 1.1 iPhone iPod Touch | 5,28 MB
If you’re a fan of connect’em type of puzzle games like Bejeweled and Trism, you will absolutely love Drop7icon a little-known iPhone game that deserves a lot more attention.
Drop7 quietly appeared in the App Store this week. We were fortunate enough to discover it because we were already familiar with Chain Factor, the addictive Flash game upon which Drop7 is based. The iPhone version offers the very same gameplay along with some different modes of play not available in the Flash version.
We really can’t recommend this game enough. It offers a fantastic twist on the connect’em game genre that makes the gameplay highly engaging with almost limitless re-playability. If you like puzzle games, you will definitely want to download Drop7 for iPhone or iPod touch.

Sky Thunder 1.3 iPhone iPod Touch

Sky Thunder 1.3 iPhone iPod Touch | 24,1 MB
Sky Thunder is a hardcore 2-D shooter that puts your bullet dodging skills to the test. Although your tiny ship packs lots of firepower, the game's developers do an excellent job clogging the iPhone's screen with enemies. Before long, you'll need to expertly weave around hundreds of bullets in a desperate attempt to avoid a nasty one-hit kill. You'll die several million times, but if you're an arcade fan, this is an essential purchase.

Before flying off to combat evil, you have the option of selecting one of three difficulty levels and two unique ships, fire and ice. From there, you choose between tilt and touch controls. Although we expected the touch controls to be superior, we actually got farther physically tilting our iPhones because our fingers didn't obscure the screen. No matter which method you pick, however, you'll need to survive the learning curve to make it past the first level.
Let that serve as the official warning, because unless you're super human, Sky Thunder will make you cry. Between all the bullets, enemies and bosses, you'll struggle to stay alive. Power-ups help a little, including screen clearing super weapons, but even on the easiest setting, this is a brutal game.
It's also wonderful to look at, thanks to well-drawn 2-D graphics that feature six unique environments, detailed ships and lots of explosions. There's even cool rock music that perfectly compliments the onscreen insanity.

iSki 2008 1.1 iPhone iPod Touch

iSki 2008 1.1 iPhone iPod Touch | 17,2 MB
iSki2008 is a fun skiing game that features the accelerometer. You control the characters by tilting the iphone. Your object avoiding dangers while getting reward points. You will have all the fun and excitement as your character flying all over the skii ranger.

iSki 2008 is a snowboarding sim for iPhone which you control by tilting the device left and right to steer your boarder. Tilting the phone forwards or backwards changes your speed and clicking one of the arrow buttons performs a jump. The object of the game is to get to the bottom of the slope, weaving the correct way through the flags and avoiding obstacles. If you fall over more than five times then the game is over.

There are three levels of iSki 2008 to complete and your aim is to get to the top of the high scores table. Points are awarded for successfully navigating the flags and for performing jumps over obstacles.

In general I was impressed by the overall presentation of iSki 2008. The graphics are bold and bright and the animation gives a real impression of speed. The music is soft and soothing (it reminded me a bit of Mercury Rev), although it does get quite repetitive. There were a few little glitches in iSki 2008 that annoyed me though. For instance, it doesn't override the power-saving mode, so the screen will dim from time-to-time, meaning you'll need to keep touching the screen. I experienced a few small bugs with the loading screen and the game crashed completely on my twice. Hopefully the developer will fix these issues in future upgrades though.

Biplane 1.0.1 iPhone iPod Touch

Biplane 1.0.1 iPhone iPod Touch | 12,6 MB
The headline-grabbing tale of a plane landing on the Hudson River earlier this year was an amazing story of heroism and, more than anything, sheer skill. Getting those planes up in the air and keeping them there is astounding enough without trying to execute a water landing.Flying is all about balance, avoiding rash movements and keeping your cool. Biplane has a fine balance of its own, a game where a steady hand and careful flying sees you through. That's isn't necessarily the kind of challenge you'll be expecting when you start Biplane up, its cartoon style and raccoon pilot promising a frolic in the clouds. While there might not be any plot or a technical bent of any kind, controlling our raccoon's magnificent flying machine takes a measure of patience and a sense of balance.

The game's main Arcade mode has our hirsute hero taking to the air to defend a small island under attack from ships and zeppelins slowly advancing inward from sea.

Said adversaries attack in waves; as such, you patrol the island, shooting down warships and skull-marked zeppelins before they have a chance to take you and your island down.

Survival is your only victory here, with each wave of attacks that passes offering a sterner test than the last. Points are awarded for every enemy ship you obliterate, and you can earn additional points for picking up balloons floating around the island and dropping off their attached cargo on platforms bobbing around on the water.

Many of these aspects are retained in Biplane's other mode, simply titled Race. Despite the name, this is another solo excursion in which you guide your plane around a course marked by a series of aerial green hoops.

You're welcome to pick up those same balloons to take seconds off your time, shooting down enemy ships again on latter courses. The real goal, however, is to complete three laps in the shortest time possible.

It's in this second mode that control of your plane becomes evermore essential and while Biplane is fully customisable, the handling of your aircraft never really feels under your control.

All of the desired options are here: calibration of the handset's neutral point and tweaking of the sensitivity. These don't prevent the need obsess over the degree at which you move your handset.
